Save the date and join us on Saturday, February 4, 2012, 6:00 pm, at Grappone Conference Center in Concord as New Hampshire Catholic Charities hosts the 7th annual Mardi Gras Benefit! In true Mardi Gras fashion, guests will be treated to savory Cajun and Creole cuisine, roving entertainment, great music, dancing, and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event go to the Emergency Assistance Fund. Thanks to the generosity of so many people over the past few years, New Hampshire Catholic Charities has been able to provide people with fuel assistance and help those facing such tragedies as floods, tornadoes, and fires.
Hear the sounds of our lovely jazz band, and enjoy our roving performers. Have a turn at the prize wheel, and take a chance in "Heads or Tails".
The incredible chef, Trish Taylor, and her staff have prepared authentic creole cuisine for the evening's meal, which starts off with Salad Creole - Baby lettuce, swiss chard and asian pears tossed with spiced pecans and a creole vinaigrette, and into the entrées, you may choose between:
Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Blackberry Bourbon Sauce - Served with potato, leek, and bacon hash, and cheddar corn pudding.
Oven-roasted Haddock with Sauce Creole - Served with goat cheese and scallions, mashed potato and broccoflower with brown butter.
Guava Glazed Portobello Mushroom - Served with wild rice pilaf and vidalia onions baked in cream.
And for dessert enjoy a Cappuccino ice cream torte with rum whipped cream.
